SUMMER STAFF
Classification: Nonexempt (Seasonal)
Reports to: Assistant Camp Director
Description:
Camp Good Days is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to further our mission through the development and delivery of fun and safe activities for our week-long and weekend summer camping programs for children and adults affected by cancer.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Collaborate with a team of 15-20 staff members to create and implement weekly program activities to reflect the daily themes
2. Assist in overall camp operations and maintenance (i.e. set up/clean up, serving, washing dishes, cleaning cabins, etc.)
3. Can be assigned to specific program areas (i.e. Music and Drama, Arts and Crafts, Sports and Games, Nature and Science, Fishing, Photography, Archery, etc.)
4. Staff who opt to be a full-time lifeguard will be:
· Responsible for lifeguarding at the pool and waterfront during all games and activities, maintaining clean and safe swim areas at the pool and waterfront, assisting with implementation of pool games and canoe trips under supervision of the Aquatics Director.
· Must be lifeguard certified (Camp Good Days provides all necessary training to become certified).
· Experience working with children preferred.
5. When needed, role may require being a camp counselor in lieu of other job responsibilities.
Other Job Duties:
1. Participate enthusiastically in all camp activities, planning and leading those as assigned.
2. Participate as a member of the camp staff team to deliver and support evening programs, special events, and other all-camp activities and camp functions.
3. Trained in First Aid, CPR and AED (free of charge).
4. It is preferred that general staff, if comfortable with aquatics responsibility, are willing to become lifeguard certified (training will be provided free of charge).

· Must be at least 18 years old to apply
Some physical requirements of the Summer staff position could be endurance, including prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, walking long distances; willing to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours with limited or simple equipment and facilities, and with daily exposure to the sun, heat.
