Have Courage to Wear UGLY!

Camp Good Days is teaming up with local businesses this holiday season to bring National Ugly Sweater Day to workers across Western and Central NY. Funds raised will benefit our vital programs and support for children and families touched by cancer.

How it works:

  1. Your company sets the date(s) employees or departments will wear their sweaters.
  2. Your company sets the donation amount each employee must give in order to participate ($5 per person minimum).
    • Companies may collect money from each employee and donate to us on behalf of their whole team or
    • Employees can donate here. An automated receipt will be emailed to each donor that can be used as proof of participation
  3. Each company will then vote internally for the employee with the ugliest sweater.
    • For large companies, we suggest each department head take a quick screen shot that can be shared with the whole team for voting
    • The winner from each company will win Camp Good Days merchandise and be entered to win a $100 Amazon gift card!
  4. The company with the highest percentage of participating employees in each city (Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse) will be awarded a basket of goodies to be randomly given to employees that may include:
    • Grocery, Restaurant or Amazon Gift Cards
    • Autographed items
    • Camp Good Days Apparel
    • and more!

How to sign your company up:

  • It's easy! Email Lisa Booz. Send her your company name, address, phone number and point person and how many employees your company has. Once we have all your company's information, you can start recruiting your team to "get ugly!"
  • Keep track of the employees that are participating. When your Ugly Sweater Day(s) is over, send us the total number who adorned an ugly sweater for a donation.

Why your company should take part:

Hm. Ok. It's fun to wear ugly sweaters, but our employees do this in December for free anyways, why should they donate this year to do so?

- We get it, why pay to do something that shouldn't cost a thing? We are looking at this fundraiser as a spin on common "dress down days." We also hope managers and other administration will get behind this campaign as a way to increase employee morale.

  • Designate your weekly staff meeting as the date everyone wears their sweater
    • Working from home? What better way to break up the monatony of virtual meetings?
  • Give knowing that every dollar donated will be helping children with cancer and children that have or have lost a parent or sibling with cancer. These are kids in YOUR community that are dealing with not just a pandemic, but a cancer diagnosis. Camp Good Days is still helping these children by continuing to provide safe, fun programming. But we need your help to do it!

Soooo...whatya say? Wanna get ugly?
