Rochester City School District Leadership Program

The Rochester City School District Leadership Program is for students transitioning from elementary to middle school. This program is run in conjunction with the Rochester City School District.

Students attend a four-day overnight camp at the Camp Good Days recreational facility on Keuka Lake in Branchport, NY. The students are able to participate in team building activities, leadership exercises, camp activities, and listen to talks from multiple influential speakers. Speakers in the past have included: The United States Marshal for the Western District of NY, the Monroe County District Attorney, the Rochester Mayor, the RCSD Superintendent, representatives from the New York State Police, the United States Attorney for the Western District of NY, the Commissioner of the Department of Human Services and many more.

The students are able to spend time with each other, teachers, and Camp Good Days staff in a serene setting. The program gives them the opportunity to grow their leadership skills and start thinking about their futures.

All who are interested should talk to their school's guidance counselors.
