The 15th Annual Camp Good Days Wine Auction Dinner will be held today, Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Rochester Plaza Hotel in Downtown Rochester. All proceeds benefit the children and families served by Camp Good Days and Special Times.
Medal winning wines from the 15th Annual Finger Lakes International Wine Competition will be featured at the Camp Good Days' Wine Auction Dinner. The Wine Auction Dinner also includes an elegant dinner, and a multitude of silent and live auction items.
The Wine Auction Dinner begins with a Sponsor & VIP Reception at 5:00 PM, followed by Wine Tasting, and Silent and Live Auction Preview at 5:30 PM, and the Auction and Dinner at 7:00 PM. Senator Rich Funke will serve as the Master of Ceremonies and Matthew Chung, Fine Wine Consultant with Chai Consulting, LLC in San Francisco, will serve as the Auctioneer again this year and the evening will conclude with live music and entertainment.

The 15th Annual Finger Lakes International Wine Competition was held at the Rochester Plaza, March 21-22, 2015 in Rochester, NY. Known as one of the world's largest charitable wine competition, it is open to all commercial wineries from all wine-producing countries.
"This year's Finger Lakes International Wine Competition had the most diverse international group of judges ever assembled in the United States to give the entrants the best possible global palate and global opinion." said Peter Parts, event founder. 3,709 wines were entered from 942 wineries, representing 27 countries, 6 Canadian Provinces, and all 50 United States.
The competition judges awarded the following awards at the 15th Annual Finger Lakes International Wine Competition:
John Rose Award Winner: 2013 Dr. Konstantin Frank Semi-Dry Riesling, New York
The John Rose Award is named after John Rose, who worked at Heron Hill Winery and lost his battle to cancer. He was a strong Camp Good Days supporter. The John Rose Award is presented to the Best in Class Riesling.
The Crystal Grape Award Winner: 2014 Sheldrake Point Winery Riesling Icewine, New York
The Crystal Grape Award is presented to the Best in Class Icewine.
Best in Class Chardonnay: 2013 Bonterra Chardonnay, Fetzer Vineyards, California
Best in Class Cabernet Sauvignon: 2011 Los Pinos Ranch and Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Los Pinos Ranch and Vineyards, Texas
Best in Class Merlot: 2012 Sempre Vive Merlot, Romeo Vineyards and Cellars, California
Best in Class Cab Franc: 2012 Boordy Vineyards Cabernet Franc, Boordy Vineyards, Maryland
Best in Class Fruit Wine: 21 Brix Raspberry, 21 Brix Winery, New York
New York State wines won 534 medals at the 15th Annual Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. New York State wines won 22 of Double Gold medals.
