Pittsford, N.Y. — Some healthy competition took place on Saturday between the St. John Fisher University Cardinals and the College at Brockport Golden Eagles.

The Courage Bowl began in 2004 and is the largest fundraiser for the children and families at Camp Good Days.

The annual tradition gives kids with cancer the opportunity to be part of a collegiate football game.

“It is a tremendous opportunity for some of our campers to experience a college football game,” said Wendy Mervis, Executive Director Camp Good Days. “They get to be honorary coaches and cheerleaders, come to practice, and hang out in the locker room. It is just an amazing opportunity and a great rivalry.”

The winner of the game receives the Teddi Trophy, named in memory of Teddy Mervis, the inspiration behind Camp Good Days.
