Southern Tier Regional Director – Ithaca Office

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Ithaca Coordinator will play a critical role in helping Camp Good Days & Special Times, Inc. (Camp) achieve its vision to provide high quality programs locally, nationally, and internationally. The Ithaca Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of significant activities including but not limited to: special event management and program development. She or he will be instrumental in ensuring consistent and effective processes and communications to strengthen Camp’s programs and position the organization for continued success and exposure in the Southern Tier.


  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Camp’s Ithaca office and strategies for regional growth.
  • Coordinate and manage expansion strategies including fundraising events, assisting in outside fundraisers, and building strategic partnerships in the region.
  • Supervise all special events and summer/monthly programs for Camp including organizational planning and development, training, and recruiting volunteers for programs.
  • Support the Recreational Facility in Branchport, New York and summer programs to make consistent and progressive steps toward organizational and programmatic consistency and sustainability.
  • Effectively communicate work plans and priorities derived from the organization's strategic plan by partnering with the ED and following with coordinated accountabilities, objectives, and associated budgets.
  • Cultivate relationships with local hospitals, support groups, businesses, and other relevant organizations to enlarge Camp’s presence in the area.



  • An ideal candidate would have a personal, professional, and/or working knowledge of the Southern Tier.

  • Highly organized and ability to wear multiple hats in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work efficiently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A successful track record in planning events, setting priorities, shaping processes, and developing an infrastructure that creates a stronger and more efficient organization.
  • A consummate team player with a flexible and creative approach.
