
Provides free, compassionate, support and educational services to children and families coping with loss or serious illness. Trained volunteers serve participants and help families make the transition from grieving, to coping, to moving forward over time. Whether families are dealing with a serious illness or are trying to cope with the death of a loved one, the KATS Program gives families the opportunity to share feelings in an open and supportive environment. KATS provides Coping Support Groups, featuring focused activities and guided instruction, with flexible options to meet each group’s requirements as well as weekend residential camping retreats.
