Junior Good Days - Rochester, NY - 6/24/2013
A day-camp program for children, ages 4-7, who would otherwise qualify for Teddi’s Team, Doing A World Of Good I & II, Camp B&ST, or Childhood USA, but are too young to attend overnight programs. Junior Good Days is currently offered in Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse. This year's Rochester group traveled to Seneca Park Zoo, Ontario Beach Park, NYS Border Patrol, Purple Haze Racehorse Rescue Center, the movies, Seabreeze and the recreational facility on Keuka Lake.

A day-camp program for children, ages 4-7, who would otherwise qualify for Teddi’s Team, Doing A World Of Good I & II, Camp B&ST, or Childhood USA, but are too young to attend overnight programs. Junior Good Days is currently offered in Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse. This year the Cuse' campers went to Wonder Works Destiny, Green Lakes State Park, Vernak Farms, and a boat ride on Skaneateles Lake!
 
Childhood USA II - 7/15/2013
A residential camping program for children ages 13-17, who have a parent or sibling who has been diagnosed with cancer or sickle cell anemia within the past three years and/or is actively undergoing treatment. This year's activities included: scuba diving, a visit from the Canisius Women's Basketball Team, Hawaiian themed events, a live band, and much more!
 
Doing A World of Good I - 7/22/2013
A residential camping program hosting children with cancer from around the world for two weeks, along with American adolescents with cancer or sickle cell anemia, ages 8-17, for one week. This weeks highlights were a visit to Watkins Glen racetrack, where thanks to the Trackmasters,campers could ride in some very nice cars around the track. Also the Rochester Raging Rhinos soccer team came down to camp for a visit!
 
Doing a World of Good II - 8/5/2013
A residential camping program hosting children with cancer from around the world for two weeks, along with American adolescents with cancer or sickle cell anemia, ages 8-17, for one week. Campers went for an outing to Ithaca, NY, where they visited the Sciencenter Museum, and then took a nice hike to Taughannock Falls. Everyone had a chance to see Camp Good Days from the sky from the ReMax hot air balloon! To cap the fun off, the members of the Rochester Philharmonic performed for the campers.
 
Teddi's Team - 8/5/2013
A residential camping program for children ages 8-12, who have or has had cancer or sickle cell anemia.
This year's theme was Dr. Seuss's Cat In The Hat, and campers had a fun time dressing up for it. Among the many activities was a visit by the Rochester Lancers indoor soccer team, hot air balloon rides, scuba diving, and even the Kona Ice Truck stopped down to hand out treats!
 
Junior Good Days - Buffalo, NY - 7/30/2013
A day-camp program for children, ages 4-7, who are too young to attend the overnight camp programs.
This year campers had carnival, complete with a bounce house, a visit to Fantasy Island, hiking and playing at Stiglmeier Park, a visit from the South Line and Lancaster Fire Departments (the campers even got to try the fire hoses)! Campers had a unique experience with the exotic animals from Nickle City Reptiles. The entire week was topped off by a day at Darien Lake Amusement Park.
 
Camp Childhood USA I - 7/8/2013
Campers in Childhood USA I had a week filled with activites such as the waterfront, arts-n-crafts, a visit from members of the Rochester Philharmic, and a celebration of different states of the union!
 
Supportive Spouse / Friend Weekend - 9/8/2012
As part of the Women's Oncology Program, the Supportive Spouse Weekend encourages participants to bring the person who has provided ongoing support throughout the cancer treatment process.
This year paricipants had the opportunity to relax with a massage, experience JAFRA, sit by the campfire, or take part in a square dance!

Women's Oncology Program - Wellness Weekend II - 9/29/2012
The second of the Wellness Weekends was held as the fall foliage began to take color in the Finger Lakes!
Participants took had time to take in yoga, massages, Jafra, and other activites to rejuvinate the mind and spirit.
 
Women's Oncology Program - Arts & Crafts Weekend 2012 - 5/19/2012
Participants in this year's program spent the weekend relaxing and creating all types of arts-n-crafts projects. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to meet new friends and rekindle old friendships during this kick-off adult oncology program.
 
Women's Oncology Program - Wellness Weekend - 7/6/2012
A camping experience for women ages 18+ who have dealt with cancer from recent diagnosis to remission. Activities focus on wellness and included: nail painting, water yoga, relaxtion exercises, clay therapy, massage therapy, woodworking and jewelery making.
 
Mark Herzlich: Life, Cancer and the NFL - 6/27/2012
New York Giants linebacker Mark Herzlich was the special guest at Camp Good Days and Special Times "Life, Cancer and the NFL" event. Herzlich was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, and beat the disease in 2010.
 
Courage Bowl VIII - 9/15/2012
Courage Bowl VIII between The St. John Fisher Cardinals and the University of Rochester Yellowjackets gave campers the opportunity to be on the sidelines as honorary coaches and cheerleaders. Each year the players, coaches, and cheerleaders form both UofR and St. John Fisher show the campers a special time they will never forget!
 
Tour de Teddi - 9/29/2012
Over 200 cyclists took to the roads around Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of New York as part of Tour de Teddi, a bike ride to raise funds for Camp Good Days and Special Times.
The ride consisted of three different courses so riders of every skill level could participate.
After the ride, everyone was able to sit and enjoy some food and wind down at the Camp Good Days waterfront!
 
Dr. John Dadey Memorial Golf Tournament - 9/12/2012
The Dr. John Dadey Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Drumlin's Country Club in Syracuse, NY.
Participants had fun golfing and raising money for Camp Good Days, such as hole in ones for a new car!

Cancer Mission 2020 Press Conference - 12/2/2010
Gary Mervis launched the Cancer Mission 2020 initiative with a press conference on December 2, 2010, at Frontier Field in Rochester, NY.
The goal is to put an end to cancer by the end of the decade.

29th Congressional District Cancer Summit - 6/22/2009
Gary Mervis, Chairman & Founder of Camp Good Days and Special Times, hosted a Cancer Summit on Monday, June 22, 2009, at the Camp Good Days' Recreational Facility, Branchport, New York. Doctors, nurses, social workers, community agency representatives, as well as those who are dealing with and / or have survived their battle with cancer attended the summit. As a special highlight, Dr. Brian Monahan was a Keynote Speaker. Dr. Monahan currently serves as the Attending Physician of the United States Congress. The goal of the Cancer Summit is to provide the venue in which everyone can come together and discuss ways in which to develop a grassroots effort for our country's commitment to bringing the war on cancer to the forefront of the public's attention and the government's agenda, as well as map out the steps necessary to defeat this disease and to provide the model for other Congressional Districts across the country.
 
30th Anniversary Reunion Weekend - 10/3/2009
The 30th Anniversary Reunion weekend, held at the Branchport Recreational Facility, was attended by campers and volunteers from the first 10 years of Camp Good Days. Everyone shared fond memories of the good times and the friends they met. A special memorial service was held by Father David Ambuske and Sister Fran Quinn to remember those friends who had since passed on, and to celebrate the magic of Camp Good Days and Special Times.
 
I Wouldn't Have Missed It For The World - 6/27/2009
On June 27, 2009 country music legend Ronnie Milsap performed a special concert for Camp Good Days in Rochester, NY as part of the 30th Anniversary Celebration. Guests had a chance to hear songs and listen to Milasp talk about his rise from humble beginnings to superstar.
