Camp Childhood USA / B&ST Alumni - 7/6/2011
The weather was great for a week of fun! Camp USA / BS&T Alumni gives campers from previous years an opportunity to reunite with old friends and make new ones.
The highlight of the week was where campers made and raced cardboard boats at the waterfront!
 
Young Adult - 6/17/2011
Images from this year's Young Adult Retreat held at the Camp Good Days Recreational Facility, on Keuka Lake in Branchport, NY.
The weekend is designed for young adults ages 18 to 39 who are battling cancer or are in remission.
 
Cancer Mission 2020 Press Conference - 12/2/2010
Gary Mervis launched the Cancer Mission 2020 initiative with a press conference on December 2, 2010, at Frontier Field in Rochester, NY.
The goal is to put an end to cancer by the end of the decade.

Doing A World Of Good and Open House 2011 - 8/3/2011
This year the Doing A World Of Good program hosted campers from Germany, Mexico, The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic and Ethiopia.
Activites included a visit from Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks, the entire(including Rex), Rochester Rhinos Soccer team, a visit to Watkins Glen with the Trackmasters, and countless activites and adventures!
The annual Camp Good Days open house was held during the Doing A World of Good program, where visitors had the opportunity to see a program in progress. The day was also used to induct honorees into the Ring of Honor, which celebrates the long and dedicated volunteer hours provided by individuals and companies.
 
Camp Childhood U.S.A. 2011 - 7/12/2011

Campers had fun in all of the program areas such as arts-n-crafts, music & drama, and woodworking.
The entire camp went to the Monroe County Airport to watch the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels practice!
There was even a dance that included a wedding ceremony (pretend of course)!
 
Women's Oncology Program Adventure Weekend - 7/9/2011
The 2011 Women's Oncology Program Adventure Weekend kept things on an exciting pace with lots of fun activities.
Whether it was scaling the heights of the project adventure course, fishing, boating or building and racing cardboard boats, good times were had by everyone!
 
RCSD Leadership Program - 8/11/2011
Camp Good Days, partnering with the Rochester City School District, held a leadership program designed to help students transition from elementary to middle school.
Students participated in workshops, held by teachers and counselors, and also enjoyed the fun that the Camp Good Days Recreational Facilty provided.
 
New Dormitory Construction - 10/22/2011
Camp Good Days and Special Times is building a new dormitory at the Branchport Recreational Facility.
The new building to be completed by Spring 2012 will house visiting specialists, volunteers and staff.

Camp Sharing and Caring / Do The Right Thing 2011 - 6/27/2011
Camp Sharing and Caring / Do The Right Thing gave campers the chance to experience the beauty of the outdoors in the heart of the Finger Lakes region.
Everyone left with great friends and great memories.
 
Carry The Ball For Courage - 9/17/2011
Carry The Ball For Courage coincided with the 2011 Courage Bowl.
Participants could choose to start from either the Camp Good Days, Mendon office, St. John Fisher College, or The University Of Rochester, and pledged to walk / run a certain distance carrying a gameball.
The event was timed so that it ended close to kick-off at the Courage Bowl, with the final ball being led into Sahlen's Stadium by the Courage Bowl honorary coaches.
Money raised by the event went towards the programs of Camp Good Days and Special Times.
 
Junior Good Days - Buffalo, NY - 8/3/2011
The Junior Good Days Program is a day camp designed for children ages 4-7.
Campers played Getting to Know You games, had a Carnival, and a Reptile Show with Nickel City Reptiles at St. Philip’s Church in Cheektowaga
The fun continued with Gymnastic and Dance lessons at Greater Buffalo Gymnastics and Spezio’s Dance Studio followed by a day at Bounce Magic
There were smiles galore at a picnic in Losson Park followed by an Awards Ceremony at St. Philip’s Church
The last day was Darien Lake Day, with rides and some very cool times in the water park.
 
Camp B&ST 2011 - 7/19/2011
Images from Camp Brothers and Sisters Together, (B&ST). The highlight of the week was when campers had the chance to go to the homecoming game of Abby Waumbach after her return from the Women's World Soccer Championchips. Campers shared lots of good times which included the Ropes Course, waterfront activities, and lots of time with new and old friends.
 
Courage Bowl VII - 9/17/2011
Courage Bowl VII between The St. John Fisher Cardinals and the University of Rochester Yellowjackets gave campers the opportunity to be on the sidelines as honorary coaches and cheerleaders. Each year the players, coaches, and cheerleaders form both UofR and St. John Fisher show the campers a special time they will never forget!
 
Stack Your Rack 2011 - 8/13/2011
This year Stack Your Rack once again filled a wine cooler with donations from attendees, to be auctioned at the 2012 Camp Good Days Wine Auction Dinner.
Held at Cobblestone Creek in Victor, NY, guests shared great wine, ate some very delicious food, and bid on fun auction items.
The highlight of the evening was tasting stations from Anthony Road Winery, Red Newt Cellars, and Fox Run Vineyards, who amoug presenting their own wines, gave guests the opportunity to try Tierce, a multi-award winning wine produced by all three wineries!

The Women's Oncology Program holds two Wellness Programs that promote wholeness, self-esteem, and a sense of well being.
Participants can engage in a number of activities ranging from makeovers, reiki, to yoga.

Women's Oncology Program Arts-N-Crafts Weekend - 6/5/2011
Participants in this year's program spent the weekend relaxing and creating all types of arts-n-crafts projects. One of the highlights was when the Ridin' For A Reason motorcycle ride stopped by camp. The ride, organized by the Conesus Lake Riders raises funds for the programs of Camp Good Days and Special Times. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to meet new friends and rekindle old friendships during this kick-off adult oncology program.
 
2011 Tournament of Love - 6/7/2011
The Tournament of Love Celebrity Golf Scramble was played at Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford, NY. Area golfers had the opportunity to golf with sports notibles from college/pro basketball, and pro-football.
This year's honorary chairman was Coach John Calipari from Kentucky, who also signed copies of his book for the golfers.
 
Coffey - Corey Memorial Golf Tournament - 8/22/2011
The annual Coffey Corey Memorial Golf Tournament to support KATS (Kids Adjusting Through Support), was held again this year at Penfield Country Club in Penfield, NY. The tournament raises funds to support the KATS program of Camp Good Days, that provides support to families who have a member diagnosed with a catastrophic illness or has passed away.
As in years past, Terry Clifford of WBEE, served as MC in honor of Bill Coffey, her former colleague, who passed on.
The name Corey, was added this year in honor of Lyle Corey, who passed away in 2010 and was instrumental in the founding of the tournament and has been a cherished supporter of the KATS program
The tournament this year had a western theme complete with saddles, wagon wheels and cowboy hats!
 
Brain Tumor Family Retreat - 8/21/2010
Families from across New York State had the opportunity to spend a weekend at the Branchport Recreational Facility and enjoy the beauty of the Finger Lakes. This was a unique opportunity to meet other families who are facing the same challenges.
 
Junior Good Days - Rochester, NY - 8/10/2010
The Junior Good Days Program is a day camp designed for children ages 4-7.
This year campers visited Lollypop Farm, Charlotte Beach, saw a movie, and spent an afternoon at Seabreeze Amusement Park.
 
Project T.I.P.S. - May 2011 - 5/20/2011
Project T.I.P.S., (Trust, Information, Programs & Services), visited the Scio and Ontario Street area of Rochester, NY, to promote safer neighborhoods and cooperation between residents and law enforcement.
Participnts had fun visiting the RFD fire safety unit, the State Police Vehicle Safety Demo and the RPD Mobile Command Unit. Kids also had the chance to ride horses and play games.
Various agencies were on hand to give information to residents about stopping the spread of violence.
 
Junior Good Days - Syracuse, NY - 8/10/2010
The Junior Good Days Program is a day camp designed for children ages 4-7.
This year campers from Central NY had a lot of fun places to visit and experience such as Big Don's Wild River, a tour of the SU Carrier Dome, Feats of Clay, Snake Oil Glassworks, Flamingo Bowl, Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery, and Green Lake State Park!
 
PolarWave 2011 - 3/3/2011
Campers from Rochester and Buffalo met up at PolarWave near Batavia, NY, for a night of snow tubing fun! Either going it alone or in tandem, everyone got a chance to test their mettle on the bumps and jumps!
 
St. John Fisher College - Teddi Dance For Love 2011 - 2/19/2011
The 29th Annual Teddi Dance for Love was held on February 18 - 19, 2011 at St. John Fisher College. This 24-hour dance marathon for Camp Good Days is put on by the student-run Teddi Committee at St. John Fisher College. This year’s dance raised over $45,000 for the “Teddi Project” at Camp Good Days!

Dance For Courage - 2/12/2011
Images from the First Annual Dance For Courage, held at Ithaca College on February 12, 2011. The twelve hour dance marathon, organized by the students will benefit families in the Southern Tier Region who participate in the programs of Camp Good Days and Special Times.
 
2011 Camp Good Days Wine Auction Dinner - 5/7/2011
Celebrating our 11th year, the 2011 Annual Camp Good Days Wine Auction Dinner held on May 17, 2011, was a huge success, with more money raised than ever before, making the wine event the largest fund raiser for Camp Good Days.
Guests had the chance to bid on medal winning wine lots from the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition, in addition to sizzling live auction items such as a fighter jet ride!
 
Camp Good Days All-Star Week - 8/25/2010
With the popularity of our camping programs, an extra week was added to accommodate all of the applicants, and the Camp Good Days All-Star program was created.
The highlight of the program were visits from the University of Rochester and St. John Fisher College football teams, as a prelude to Courage Bowl VI.
 
29th Congressional District Cancer Summit - 6/22/2009
Gary Mervis, Chairman & Founder of Camp Good Days and Special Times, hosted a Cancer Summit on Monday, June 22, 2009, at the Camp Good Days' Recreational Facility, Branchport, New York. Doctors, nurses, social workers, community agency representatives, as well as those who are dealing with and / or have survived their battle with cancer attended the summit. As a special highlight, Dr. Brian Monahan was a Keynote Speaker. Dr. Monahan currently serves as the Attending Physician of the United States Congress. The goal of the Cancer Summit is to provide the venue in which everyone can come together and discuss ways in which to develop a grassroots effort for our country's commitment to bringing the war on cancer to the forefront of the public's attention and the government's agenda, as well as map out the steps necessary to defeat this disease and to provide the model for other Congressional Districts across the country.
 
Talkin' Yankees Baseball - The Steinbrenner Era - 1/28/2011
Camp Good Days and Special Times held Talkin' Yankees Baseball - The Steinbrenner Era, with special guests author Bill Madden and former Yankees manager Gene "Stick" Michael.
The informal event held in Rochester, NY, allowed fans to ask questions and gain insight to a significant time in the history of The New York Yankees.
 
A Night To Remember - 12/10/2010
Camp Good Days and Special Times hosted a Night To Remember at their headquarters in Mendon, NY.
Families from around our region arrived by limo, ate some very good holiday food, and even had a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus
 
Day Of Caring 2011 - 5/11/2011
Employees from Bausch & Lomb, Xerox, and Wegmans, rolled up their sleeves and helped Camp Good Days prepare for the 2011 camping season at the Recreational Facility in Branchport, NY.
Volunteers stained tables, raked, weeded, cleared the waterfront, and much more!!
 
30th Anniversary Reunion Weekend - 10/3/2009
The 30th Anniversary Reunion weekend, held at the Branchport Recreational Facility, was attended by campers and volunteers from the first 10 years of Camp Good Days. Everyone shared fond memories of the good times and the friends they met. A special memorial service was held by Father David Ambuske and Sister Fran Quinn to remember those friends who had since passed on, and to celebrate the magic of Camp Good Days and Special Times.
 
I Wouldn't Have Missed It For The World - 6/27/2009
On June 27, 2009 country music legend Ronnie Milsap performed a special concert for Camp Good Days in Rochester, NY as part of the 30th Anniversary Celebration. Guests had a chance to hear songs and listen to Milasp talk about his rise from humble beginnings to superstar.
